TIP:

As part of the Mental Health Week, we would like to provide another tip:

During teen years, proper nutrition helps with both physical health and mental health by providing essential nutrients, such as omega-3 fats, vitamin D, B vitamins, and more. Some signs which could signify nutritional deficiencies include:

  • Low energy/fatigue
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Irritability/mood swings
  • Changes in sleep
  • Withdrawal from social activities

It is important to remember that our bodies need food for fuel. Eat foods from various food groups (fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, nuts, and seeds). Read nutritional facts on labels. And stay hydrated
