RELAY FOR LIFE:

  • Relay for LifeThe event is being held the afternoon or May 22 at TOSH. The cost is $20 to register and gives you your Relay T-Shirt, Luminary, and food items at the event. This money also goes towards our goal of raising $30 000 for the Canadian Cancer Society. Registration fees can be paid online when you register, in person at the Relay table on Tuesday and Thursday of this week, or through e-transferring toshrelayforlife@gmail.com (please include your name).

 

  • Cancer survivors are invited to a reception May 22 at 10:30 am (10:45-11:45). Please register by contacting Shelby Burns at: shelbyburns3101@gmail.com

 

GENERAL:

  • The Youth Advisory Council is asking for your help by filling out the survey below.

Their work focuses on trying to ensure youth feel involved, supported and, most importantly, confident and connected in our community.


Through the feedback they  get from the survey,  they will  use the information  to take steps and make the change they need - not to mention there are prizes!

PIZZA PARTY for a home room 

One $25 visa gift card per grade (7-12)/per school, chosen randomly from participants who chose to provide their full name.

  • TOSH gazebo build is after school on TODAY and Thursday.  Meet at the CTEC building in the automotive shop.  No experience required.

 

  • The Three Oaks Insider is holding our first-ever “Artist of the Year” contest! There are posters around the school with submission instructions. Just scan the QR Code or email a picture of your submission to Mr. Chilton (atchilton@edu.pe.ca). The winner will receive a $100 gift card, have their art piece featured on the front page of our paper, and receive an official Three Oaks Insider “Artist of the Year” certificate. The contest deadline has been extended to Monday, May 25th! We look forward to seeing your best artwork, TOSH!

  • Grade 10 Band students are traveling to Mount Allison on Friday for the day and leaving at 8:30 AM and returning approximately 5:00 PM.

 

STUDENT SERVICES/GRAD INFO:

  • Grade 12 Casino Night - Tuesday May 12 from 7-9. Admission is 5pm. Come for some fun, games, food and prizes!

  • The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Program (RYLA) is one of the most successful Rotary programs run by Rotary clubs around the world. District 7815 RYLA is a fun and intensive training program designed for teens (15-19 years of age) to inspire leadership and provide them with the skills to complete their goals.

What are the benefits of RYLA?

RYLA allows you the opportunity to build your problem solving and communication skills, discover strategies for becoming a dynamic leader in your school or community, explore career paths, share ideas and experiences with your peers, coordinate youth activities and/or community service projects and discuss creative approaches for resolving family, social, and professional conflicts.

Through RYLA, Rotary District 7815 aims to:

*Provide young leaders the opportunity to collaborate in a supportive environment to gain a better understanding of their own and others’ strengths, unique qualities, and abilities.

*Facilitate workshops about teamwork, communication, and motivation to develop the leadership skills Demonstrate Rotary's commitment to youth development and growth.

 

When and where is RYLA held?

Rotary District 7815’s RYLA 2026 will be held at Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) in Truro, NS on May 15th & 16th.

*** Interested applicants can contact me (Mr. Hockin) to inquire about more information and to receive a registration form. Successful applicants will have their trip covered by the Rotary Club of Summerside.

 

  • Royal Canadian Legion Branch #5 Educational Bursary - Applications are now available in the Student Services office. Due Date: May 31, 2026
    *Applications are to be returned to Summerside Legion by the due date.
