ANNOUNCEMENTS Tuesday, October 14 – Day 2

MEETINGS:

  • Representatives from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and Holland College art program will be here to speak with students today in room 505 at lunch.

 

  • Envirothon Training starts at 3:25 in Room 506. The countdown to the provincial competition is on, so all team members should attend!

 

  • Marine Science ADP – Next meeting is Wednesday, October 15 starting at 11:45 in Room 506.  This will be a short meeting to get permission forms and homework sheets for next week’s field trip.

 

  • SLC executive meeting today at lunch.

 

  • Full SLC meeting in the lecture theater tomorrow, Wednesday Oct 15th at lunch.

 

  • Rotary Youth Parliament - can Clarity Smith, Lawrence Chan, and Cameron McDonald please see Mr. Hockin this morning in room 309.

SPORTS:

  • Gym, weight room & cardio room Closed today.

 

  • Dismissals - for AAAW vball, cross country & both AAA soccer teams in maze.

 

  • Golf - good luck to all players today at provincials!

MUSIC:

  • Band students who are interested in being a part of the PEI Senior Honours Band in November: Please fill out the form that Mr. Kelly posted in the TOSH Wind Ensemble Google Classroom.

 

  • TOSH Vocal Group: Students who are in or are interested in joining the TOSH Vocal Group are asked to join the Google Classroom - ptgcxz6d. There is a poll posted for you to vote on the next piece that we will be preparing. Also, because there is a PD Day on Friday, there won't be any practice this week. We will have practice again on Friday, October 17.

STUDENT SERVICES/GRAD INFORMATION:

Career Day – Tuesday, Oct. 14

There will be regular classes in the morning for all grades. There will be a Volunteer Fair at lunch where students can speak with local organizations about opportunities for volunteering with those organizations. In Block D, grade 10 students will have regular classes while grade 11 and 12 students will start in their classes and then attend 2 career related sessions. Grade 11 and 12 students are encouraged to look at the links below in advance of Tuesday afternoon. In Block C all grades will be in their regular classes until they are called down to have their turn with the Colleges, Universities, and other members of the AARAO Fair. Grade 12 students are also asked to download their transcript. A link was sent to their school email.
