Day 1

 

MEETINGS:

 

  • Journalism and Yearbook Clubs – Full meeting this Thursday, October 2nd from 3:20-4:20pm in the computer lab (Rm. 501/503). This meeting is mandatory for all members. New members welcome!

 

  • FRANCE Trip - there will be a parent meeting for students traveling to France in June on the French/Culinary trip.  The meeting will be on Wednesday, October 01 in the lecture theatre at 5:15pm.

 

 

SPORTS:

  • Powerlifting – Sign-up sheet is now posted in the gym hallway.  Coach will be Dan Archibald.  More info re: Training sessions and location(s) coming early October.

 

  • Golf- Could the 7 golfers planning to attend qualifier tomorrow (Thursday) please see Mr. A for a dismissal sheet and T time today.

 

  • Cross Country – 12:20 bus departure from the welding shop tmr (Thursday) to Cabot park.  3:15 return time.  Dismissal sheets in the maze.  Everyone is expected to take the bus.

MUSIC:

  • Band students interested being a part of the PEI Senior Honours Band in November: Please fill out the form that Mr. Kelly posted in the TOSH Wind Ensemble Google Classroom.

 

  • TOSH Wind Ensemble and R&B Band students are selling Poinsettia Plants for $40 each for a fundraiser this month. Reminder to students to pick up your forms for the fundraiser if you haven’t already. Deadline for submitting forms and money to Mr. Kelly is October 15.

The City of Summerside is looking for energetic, motivated, and enthusiastic Lifeguards to join our Aquatics team in the Community Services Division. We are currently hiring for daytime, evening, and weekend shifts, offering flexible hours to fit your schedule.

As a Lifeguard, you’ll play a key role in creating a safe and enjoyable environment for our community members of all ages.

What You’ll Do

  • Supervise pool users to ensure a safe and positive experience
  • Perform continuous safety scans and respond quickly in emergencies
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the pool area
  • Work effectively both as a leader and as part of a team
  • Carry out daily operational and facility-related tasks

What You Bring

  • Valid National Lifeguard Certification
  • Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Certification
  • Swim Instructor Certification (asset)
  • Good physical condition and readiness to respond in emergencies
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional approach
  • Bilingual skills considered an asset
